Spring Startups

Preparing Your Irrigation System for the Summer

In North Carolina, we know about quickly changing temperatures from 40 degrees one day to 80 degrees the next.  In preparation for the change in temperatures, we suggest you contact us in March and schedule your spring startup. You will need your backflow preventer available. During the Spring Startup, we will attach your backflow preventer, turn on the main ball valve, pressurize the system, check the backflow preventer for leaks and make repairs if necessary. We will also run each zone, inspect and adjust all heads, test the rain sensor, and set the controller for proper season conditions. If you know of damage that has occurred over the winter, we ask that you reach out to us over the winter so we can address those repairs prior to Spring Startups.  We are also experienced with starting up systems that aren’t using municipal water.
